Join us in our vision of creating a unique community gathering space where individuals from different cultures and backgrounds can make new connections, celebrate, strive and contribute towards building our community!
The world is an increasingly interconnected place. Families are relocating, immigrants are settling in and our communities are being transformed and challenged by the ongoing economic trends. A sense of community is something we have to tackle head-on and can no longer take for granted. Consequently, we want to make our community more resilient by impacting the social spirit of our community.
The Keene Community Cultural Center project hopes to bring together individuals from different cultural backgrounds with the common goal of addressing diverse needs to bring our community together. We hope to create a tangible physical space we can call home. Our community space will be a hub for cultivating and celebrating culture. It will provide a space to hold classes, exhibitions, performances, workshops, educational programs, a resource center and cultural events, all of which will bring numerous opportunities for volunteerism and community connection. Our project is a fiscal-sponsored incubator project of Arts Alive.
With your help, The Keene Multicultural Center Project hopes to open our doors in 2024 and make it accessible to all in our community, with an emphasis on underserved community members.
Specifically, we are seeking funds for offsetting some of the costs for:
- Leasing / covering the cost of our first community space …………………………………………………$20,000
- Offsetting the cost of our Evening ESL (English as a Secondary Language) Class………………..$10,000
- Salary support for a Part-time Community Engagement Officer……………………………………………..$9,500
- Fixtures and Equipment for our community space ………………………………………………………………..$6,000
- Underwrite some of the expenses for our 2024 Community Cultural Events ………………………….. $4,500

This series of five classes runs from 8:30-10:30 AM on 3/20, 4/3, 4/17, 5/1, and 5/15.

Your ability to guide individuals and groups is a significant factor that influences morale, productivity, turnover, and the health of the workplace. Join us for this engaging and practical series of workshops that will build your confidence and toolkit to lead others. The Management & Leadership Series covers essential knowledge and tools that often are not directly developed despite advancement into supervisory roles.
These online workshops are interactive with time built in for break-out rooms, large group discussions, personal reflections, and practice time for new skills. This series is great for anyone who leads others and would like to work on skills, learn more about their own leadership strengths and struggles, and gain a multitude of practical tools and resources. We draw heavily from the “real world” experiences of participants, so come prepared to share your own ideas and be inspired by others in the group.
